Friends are great
We started as friends
You became my best friend
What could be better
Then a lover who is a friend

Friends laugh, cry, comfort, and love
They are there for one another
And make life worth living
I love you for many reasons
But one of the greatest ones
Is because you are my friend

Friends are great
I love being your friend
But there are things friends cant do
Things we once had
And things I wish we had again

You say that’s all you want right now
And I will always be your friend
As your friend I will grant your request
I will be happy and make you laugh
But I want you to know
Someday I wish for more
I want to be your lover and I want to be your friend
