Sandy Hook Tradegy

On everyone's mind is the Sandy Hook Elementary school tragedy. I mourn for all those affected by this horror. We must be careful here to not think solely with our emotions, but use our logic also. I do NOT believe the answer is restricting our constitutional right to bear arms. (certainly I agree mentally unstable people shouldn't have firearms) My view is that firearms are a tool that can be used for good or evil. Firearms can protect innocent lives and disarming law abiding citizens will not stop criminals. Criminals do not obey laws, that is why they are called criminals. In fact, It will only add to the tragedy by limiting the law abiding individual the ability to defend themselves. Cars and alcohol killed more people in 2011 than firearms did, yet we are not talking about banning them. Where does this kind of thinking stop? The argument may be that we do not need certain guns, but do we need freedom of speech, assembly, or the ability to have our grievances readdressed? No, but these are RIGHTS granted by our founding fathers that should be upheld for what they stand for: FREEDOM.

Evolution

Evolution
(in this pamphlet we will deal with macro evolution not microevolution. Macroevolution is one type of organism becoming another, ie ape becoming a man. Microevolution has been observed and is true, ie a wolf becoming a dog, but it’s still of the Canis genus. It’s still the same kind of animal)

Evolution is part of observational science, which is a branch that deals with ideas that we cannot create a repeatable experiment for. No one has ever observed it working or not working. It’s little more than a creation myth.

Evidence against evolution is intentionally being repressed.

Evolution is not a fact; science does not consist of facts, but theories.” It is not part of science and the evolutionists defend their view with religious fervor and zeal. If it was real science it would be open to all observations.” Kent Hovind

The fossil record is not proof of evolution. We have never found an authentic missing link. All so called missing links were deliberate frauds or proved to be something else. We have never found ANY transitional species either.

The only place a complete geological column exists is in your textbook. There is no place on earth where we can find every rock layer in a continuous sequence.

"If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down."--Charles Darwin, Origin of Species

All Creationists are not stupid nor are they anti science.
Many scientists have believed in God: Bacon(scientific method), Einstein , Copernicus, Kepler, Galileo, Descartes, Pascal, Newton, Boyle, Faraday, Mendel, Kelvin, Planck and there are many more!

Carbon Dating is based on several assumptions:
1. The initial conditions of the rock sample are accurately known.
2. The amount of parent or daughter elements in a sample has not been altered by processes other than radioactive decay.
3. The decay rate (or half-life) of the parent isotope has remained constant since the rock was formed.

Bible Quotes

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

John 1:3 Through him[Jesus] all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God…

Job 38:4 "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand. 5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?

Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities— his eternal power and divine nature— have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man-- and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

2 Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation.5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

Revelations 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."

Paul scores sought-after endorsement in South Carolina

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (CNN) – Six days before South Carolina's presidential primary, Ron Paul scored one of the most sought-after political blessings in the state.

On Sunday, state Sen. Tom Davis endorsed the Texas congressman in Myrtle Beach. Davis is a rising star in Republican circles and a highly regarded fiscal conservative who holds sway over many tea party activists.

Paul himself told CNN the nod would bring "a lot of attention for me."

In a packed hotel conference room at a Paul campaign event, Davis stepped onto a stage in front of a few hundred Paul loyalists and explained why he would support Paul over his rivals in the GOP presidential race.

"One of the nice things about being in South Carolina every four years is you get to meet candidates first hand. And I've had that chance," Davis said.

The state senator called former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman "a fine man" and was equally kind to former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

"At the end of the day, when I sat down, I realized there were a lot of good people running for this race," Davis said. "But there's only one person, there's only one person speaking to what I believe is the core problem of our country today. The biggest threat to our liberty comes from debt."

"There is only one candidate that is talking about this problem to the degree, at the scale and with the scope that it needs to be talked about. You can't nibble around the edges anymore."

Davis' endorsement of Paul could help the Texas congressman ahead of South Carolina's first-in-the-South presidential primary on January 21. A recent American Research Group survey in the state shows a tight race between former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Gingrich and Paul.

Yet Davis' endorsement also highlights a problem seen among Republicans nationwide: like-minded conservatives are unable to coalesce around one candidate.

Among the state's Republican leaders, Gov. Nikki Haley has endorsed Romney, popular state conservative Rep. Mick Mulvaney has backed Perry, and Rep. Joe Wilson previously backed former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who dropped out of the race after a disappointing finish in the Ames Straw Poll in Iowa last summer.

Senators Jim DeMint and Lindsey Graham and popular tea party figure Rep. Tim Scott have not endorsed a candidate.

After speaking at the event himself, CNN asked Paul why the Davis endorsement mattered.

"Well because he's very popular. And he's going to get a lot of support and he's going to get a lot of attention for me," Paul said. "And he's a believer."
