Materialism and Entertainment

Wow. Everyone I know lately has nothing to do. Its sad. We used to have things to do, but we are like in a year slump or something. What should we do? Go to the movie theater! Yay... or lets rent a movie, or lets get drunk. That's getting boring. I think the reason everything seems boring is we feel the need to be uber entertained in our society. We all are entertained every minute of our lives. We are fricken doing homework, watching tv, and listening to the radio at the same time. Or surfing the internet for 80 things, listening to music and whatever else. Always watching tv, playing video games, or movies. There hardly is ever a time we are doing simple things anymore. Some people even listen to the radio or tv when they sleep! We think if we ever do something simple like take a walk or hike or just plain talk we will DIE of boredom. We constantly go out and by shit we don't need for no reason. Except to be entertained for the next few minutes. I think we need to get back to the simpler way we used to live. It seems like God made all kinds of wonderful, yet simple things for us to do, but we are so far away from God and innundated with consumer goods and etertainment we never get to enjoy the real blessings that matter. Like friends, family, pets, and nature. There is so much more to life then just being entertained in the conventional sense, but we never think of it. I think peopled be more happy if they lived a more sparse life, then all kinds of things we never have even thought of doing would be exciting. We need to slow down, and stop thinking we always need to do super stimulated. Maybe go outside and watch a bird for a while or whatever. I am going to try to enjoy the simple life and get rid of the things society values. Ever notice when people try to modify God's idea of life it ends up bad. Like lets introduce these animals here. Bad idea now there is to many of them and they are destroying the environment, or lets make all these cars that pollute the air. Even all these jazzed up foods are bad. They have so many terrible ingredients its not a wonder why everyone is sick. Lets drink water again, and virtually single ingredient foods. Lets literally try to smell the roses a little bit, slow down life, and enjoy the simple things. Then perhaps we wont all be so bored.

God IS Real

Nowadays all my friends ever do around here is go to walmart and watch movies. Well we cant even find any movies we want to rentanymore. We almost have watched them ALL that interest us! Then of course there is the drinking and premarital sex. I dont get into that anymore. Its like we are lost. Science says we are some random products of unintelligent goo created by an explosion over billions of years. The bible says we are the children of God and HE created everything. Who knows what to believe anymore? Who knows what even matters?! Does anything matter? So I prayed to the Lord and poured out my heart to him. I told him I didnt know what to believe, I didn't even know if there was a God, but I thought if there was He would answer me. I wanted to believe the truth, and I asked God for proof that he is real. My prayer was answered!! I found books that scientifically prove God, the validity of the bible, that Jesus does exist, he wasnt crazy, and wasnt a lier, and that christianity is the only possible religion. Then I accepted Jesus as my savior and got a bible. Since then my life has changed dramitically I used to be depressed, and now I am happy. When you know for SURE that there is a God who loves you more then you can imagine, and your going to heaven, life is alot more bearable. Sometimes I am driven to tears because I am so overwhelmed at Gods love for me. Imagine his love is like you loving your worst enemy and giving him or her everything you own.

Don't you think the most important thing we could do in life is discover where we came from, and where we should go?

Matthew 7:7 states
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

If you feel that your life is meaningless, and you feel like your lost, or just feel in need of truth, then ask God to reveal himself to you. Then have faith. The bible says even faith the size of a mustard seed counts! Then I hope you will accept Jesus Christ as your savior. Because believing in Jesus is NOT ignoring the facts, for Jesus Said: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

God loves us so much that He gave us the most precious gift He could give, His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

If you want to accept Jesus as your savior simply pray this prayer: "I accept Jesus Christ as my savior, and ask forgiveness for all of my sins. I want to stop living for myself, and start living for God. Please come into my life, and make it into what is pleasing to the lord. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Since I prayed that prayer to God to reveal himself to me I have seen so many changes in my life.I could never have done them on my own. God reveals himself to my all the time. Its amazing every day I grow in God, and can see him changing my life before my eyes, and I see him everywhere. I am now totally convicted that Jesus and God are true, I believe if I would have prayed to the buddah or Muhammad or whoever else nothing would have happened, but asking God that day was the most incredible thing I could do, and every day is an adventure. That prayer has bore actual fruit unlike anything else I have done in life. It was the most important moment of my life, and I am greatful for God choosing to reveal himself to me, and for saving me. With God in the driver seat of my life who knows where we will go. I pray that many will read this and be saved. Not from myself or from themselves, but by the grace of GOD!
